New Year's Eve DIY Party Dress

Heeeeello, it's me again!

I've been terribly sick since the night of the 25th so I've been basically dying in my bed and being medicated. Today I was a little bit better, but not well enough to make a whole video like the ones I normally do, so I decided to change things a little bit while doing something new and fresh at the same time!

I created a party dress for Rapunzel from the Animator's Collection dolls and it was inspired in the Holiday Collection of Hayden Williams. I really loved her drawings and I've been following him since I first discovered about his Instagram's paige, about a year ago. I think he's really talented and he has a really unique style for drawing. I was so happy when I knew he was woking with Rimmel for the Kate Moss' collection thing.

Here you have some pics of the final product:

It was surprisingly easy and fast to do. I spent no more than an hour in creating it! And from my POV it looks so cute and pretty. As I said in my video, I wish I had an important event to attend just to weat something like this! Here you have the video I made so you can learn more about it and watch the details of the hair updo and stuff:

And just one more thing before I go, I've been working in a new design for my blog and my YouTube channel that it is going to go along with my room decoration and filming spot. You'll see everything the 1st of January! I'm so exciiiited! :) See you then :)

Merry Christmas + Christmas Updates

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO WHOEVER IS READING THIS!!

I finally have time to sit down in front of my computer and write something decent here. I missed this!!

First thing first, I GOT A NEW CAMERA! Like whaaaat, Marina? YAAAASSS. I watched this super Black Friday deal and with my saved money and the help of my beloved parents, I got it. It probably would have been cheaper if I got it online, but I feel insecure buying these kind of devices online because of guarantee issues and whatsnot.

So, I’m glad to introduce you to my Canon EOS 1200D. I used to think that these things were easier to use, but I realize that they are not at all. I still am figuring out how to handle it! I will explore all the functions and watch loads of tutorials during this Winter Break.

While I was out studying for some midterms and doing a million of paper dues, I uploaded some more Christmas videos, I even did my first tag! And I have to say I’m super proud of the last Christmas video of my series. It’s a ‘Get Into The Christmas Spirit’ and you can watch a make up and nails tutorials, a DIY on high knee socks and some inspiration for Christmas! I was so tired by the end of my college’s semester that I didn’t feel the Christmas spirit, even when I worked extra hard in my Holiday decoration this year!

Oh, and I can’t finished this entry without mentioning that we reached 300 subbies!!  Thank you so soo much to whoever have ever hit that bottom. Hope we keep on growing!
Sooo without further due, here you have all the links:

See you before 2014 ends! xx

YouTube Updates

Hi y'all!

So I'm here to write something very briefly and just let you know that I did two more uploads to my YouTube channel since the last time I posted. In the next few days I'm going to be doing a special announcement... Sooo stay tunned!

1) I made a super delish yet healthy DIY Christimas Cookies Spread. I promise you, it's soooo yummy and you're gonna love it! Here it comes:

2) The next one has just come out of the oven! It's kind of different from what I normally do, it's not a DIY! Well, there's some DIY part in it, but it is mostly about my personal tips for hair. And if you're used to my videos, you'll know I need to have a few of those, 'cause I got loads of super long hair.

I hope you enjoy them!! See you on Monday, probably :)

DIY Reindeer Antlers + DIY Wire Ornaments + DIY Garland

Heeello!

My schedule is getting crazy. There's just so much stuff to do and I don't even know how I manage it to get everything done in time. But anyway... I am sorry if this entry is going to be too simple, but I don't have time for more! I'm just here to let you know that I uploaded two more videos to my YouTube channel and they are Christmas related of course... <3

 1. The first one is the second part of my Christmas decoration ideas. I think these ideas are even cuter than the ones in the other video! There are some super simple yet pretty ornaments and a garland, that from my POV looks way prettier than the ones you can buy at stores... Just saying. Here you have the link:

 2. I saw this cute reindeer antlers for Forever21 all over YouTube and I thought they were just so cute! So I decided to make my own version of them:

And without further due, see you next time!!

DIY Christmas Room Decor | Easy & affordable Holiday decorations

Ho, ho, ho, helloooo y'all!

Can you see some changes? Yaaaaaaaaay, new Christmas' design. Inspiration just payed me a visit and I had to do it. I love Christmas so much that I needed this. So boom! Here it is, Christmas' cuteness everywhere. 'Cause it's never too early for that, right? Buuut that's not all! I bring another special announcement today. I uploaded my first Christmas video of the season to my Youtube channel just a couple hours ago. It's a DIY room decor video, and I kind of love how everything turned out. I create a wall Advent Calendar with Christmas lights and some ornaments! This is just part one. Part two is coming next Sunday and I have a bunch of Christmas video ideas going around my head. So don't forget to subscribe to my channel to join the fun and don't lose track of those babies that are about to be born! Soooo here you have the video:

And by the way, there was this 20% off in Disney Store and they practically forced me to buy two new babies. I got Snow White and Aurora and I looove them so much. I've been styling their hairs today, in fact Snow White has her curlers on at the moment. Maybe I'll do an entry dedicated entirely about that!

I guess everything is already said! Hope you enjoy the DIYs and that you find them useful. Loads of love!

DIY updates: DIY Crop Top & Skirt | DIY BMO

Helloooo, it's me! Did you know that you can't write the '<' thing in the YouTube's description box? Because I don't and I've been like twenty minutes figuring out what I was doing wrong. It kept on saying 'no puedes escribir paréntesis', Spanish for 'you can't write brackets'. And I kept on looking for 'paréntesis' or 'brackets' in my text, but there was none! And just when I was about to giving up... voilà! YouTube meant 'angle bracket'. So... NOT OKAY!! You're not allowed to write cute hearts like this <3 in your description box :( I guess it has to do with HTML an stuff...

Sooooo, yeah! Nice and interesting intro today. I'm exploited in college, so I don't have too much time to create posts :( That's why I didn't write last week, but today I am gonna make up for that. Here you have my last two videos:

1) DIY Crop Top & Skirt out of a Dress | Easy & affordable way to upcycling!

I got this dress in my closet which I really love but I never feel comfortable wearing it. Soooo, boom! Now instead of a dress, I have a crop top and a skirt. No sewing machine nor any expensive equipment required and super easy!

2)DIY BMO Toy | Perfect Gift / Decor Idea!

I am so in love with BMO and I have a really bad obsession with dolls and cute toys, so I decided to challenge myself creating this BMO! It turned out nice, I really love how cute it looks! I decided to give it to my boyfriend, you know, to show my love and stuff <3

Before I go, can we talk about how close Christmas is? Because I am sooo excited! I am planning to do a bunch of Christmas videos, and I am going to start next week. So bring your Christmas' spirit with you the next time you visit my YouTube's channel or my blog, 'cause it'll be officially Christmas over here!! Loads of love, xx

Halloween Party Decor & Snacks and DIY Baby/Toddler Costume!

Heeeello!!

It's been a while since the last time I wrote something here, but my schedule is getting crazy due to college, so... I'm really looking forward to get rid of November and embrace Christmas with all the love my heart can give. But well, for now we have to enjoy Halloween, that is just around the corner! And that's the reason what I am writing this. Since the last time I was here, I have uploaded two more Halloween-themed videos to my channel!

One of them is about Halloween party/room decor aaand healthy snacks ideas. I really enjoyed filming this, two of my favorite things together... decorating and cooking (ok, kind of, because the snacks are so simple that it can really be considered cooking). Anyway! Here you have the link in case you want to check it out:

The second video is the last DIY costume of Halloween 2014! I didn't planned on making other costume, but a subscriber give me the idea and I thought that it could be cool! Sooo, if you're not sure yet about who or what are you going to be this year on October 31th, you can be a cute little baby/toddler! Click on the video if you want to learn the how to:

And before saying goodbye, let me tell you how grateful and happy I feel for my first thousand of views in a video!!
Thank you sooo, sooo much to whoever that clicked on the video!! And loads of love for y'all.

Easy DIY Last Minute Halloween Costumes: Hipster Cinderella & Rapunzel

Hi y'all, beautiful people!!

I am reaaally really happy to write this entry. Yesterday I couldn't upload a video to my channel, as I usually do on Sunday, but it was for the greater good. I was fighting with my editing software because I was attempting to change the background of the video with the green screen technique. The results are obviously not even closer to professional ones, but taking into account that I don't have professional lighting, nor a real green screen background (I used a green blanket from my boyfriend and tape to glue it to the wall), I'm really satisfied with how everything turned out. I got to point out that I don't even have a decent camera! I film wih a digital one, a Nikon Coolpix SD2800. I can't complain, tho. It's really good quality for a digital camera... But anyway! I think it was a funny experience and something that I'm definitely going to do again (yeah, poor bf of mine, I'm sorry for that). Anyway, here you have some behind the scenes pictures, so you can see how precarious was everything.

As I mentioned before, shout outs to my bf! He helped me to prepare everything and he was the intro director, as he always is :). I'm afraid he just has to get use to it... Aaaand about the video! It is another Halloween costume. It's really easy, affordable and cute, at least I think so. You can be any hipster Disney princess using a tiny little bit of imagination and a few clothes from your closet! Here you have the link to the tutorial:

DIY Barbie Halloween Costume (with Shelly!)

Hi!! So today I'm sharing my very first Halloween themed-video. It's a DIY Barbie costume! As a child, I loooooved dolls, especially Barbie dolls. I still love them in fact. I loved costumes as well, but I never have the chance to put on a costume very often. So I make the most of this opportunity to create a Barbie look :) And of course, you gotta bring your little, cutie sister Shelly with you <3

I had so much fun filming this. It was very challenging, because it was my first makeup tutorial as well. I don't proclaim myself as a makeup artist, nor anything similar. In fact, makeup is a really tough and tricky issue for me. But I tried... And I think it didn't turn out bad at all! Btw, I'm planning to do more Halloween videos. At least one more costume and something related to decoration and healthy snacks! So make sure you're subscribed to my YT channel, 'cause you don't want to miss them! :) For now, here you have the first episode of the 2014 Halloween series:

DIY Crop Sweater | Revamp your clothes for Fall!

Hi y’all, beautiful people!

Here I am ‘cause it’s DIY Sunday! Today I’m bringing a quick one: a revamp for your old sweaters. I’ve always dreamed with beautiful, big, cozy sweaters, but they are soooo expensive! So of course had I to come up with something like this. I think I’m starting to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Everything is easier and faster. And I really really like that. So here you have the video:
And by the way, I’m uploading twice this week! As I promised, I uploaded a haul with my Forever21 birthday clothes. Here you have the link:

DIY Beanie, Scarf & Leg Warmers for Fall! (Sweater Upcycle)

Hi! It still being DIY Sunday in myDIYtifuLife. Basically I spent my whole Sunday editing this video, and the truth is that I like how it turned out in the end! Youtube, as always, has stolen the quality of my poor baby, but weeeell, nothing I can do about it for now tho...

So I have been thiiinking and thinking about what should I do with this old sweater that I'm about to throw away since two years ago but that always ends up stuck in my closet because I feel so terribly sorry putting it in the trash can... Soooo this is it. This was my solution: I turned it into a beanie, a scarf and a pair of leg warmers. Things that I need but I'm always too lazy to buy because they tend to be terrible expensive. Hopefully you haven't done the Fall cleaning yet and you can find an old sweater that can be useful again! Here it is the how you can make that happen:

Forever21 birthday haul!

Hi y'all!!

Last thursday was my birthday and since I'm so in love with Forever21 clothes (and prices) when my mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday, the answer was crystal clear in my head: Forever21!

Here where I live there's no Forever21 store. There was one store of Forever21 once in Barcelona (where my friend Lau and me could spend hours and hours), but I think they closed it down this year. Sooo I'm just left with the option of shopping on the web and I'm not a huge fan of online shopping because there's some items that I would never ever dare to purchase without trying them on.

Today my purchase arrived. I was super excited and I filmed the unboxing, so this along with a couple of ideas will be uploaded soon to my YT channel. I got a cardigan, a fluffly, crop jumper, a pasley pattern skirt, a burgundy bag, a beanie aaaand a dark pink / purple tank top that I'm planning to use for a DIY costume. The quality of every piece of clothing is amazing regarding the price, if you'd ask me. Aaaaanyway, I will talk to you more about my Forever21 haul in my video!! Loads of love and kisses <3

I think if you don't have a big closet, you're going to like this! This DIY is really useful for people with not too much space for their clothes and accessories (my case!). Plus, these ideas add loads of cuteness to your closet (or wherever you decide to hang them). Here you have it:

First DIY + Introduction

Hi everyone! Welcome to myDIYtifuLife.

My name is Marina and I live in the south of Spain. I've always loved decorating and doing my own things. Particularly cute things. But I've always thought that I wasn't talented enough for creating my own stuff or that I has no imagination and I has been limiting myself to imitate what others came up with. In fact, it wasn't until this year that life taught me that anyone can make almost anything if one works hard enough for it. Soooo, this idea came to my mind and, thanks to my beloved ones, today a dream has become reality.

Before I show you my first video, a massive THANK YOU goes to the designer of this site: the talented Clara J. Aira. An incredible artist and a good friend for almost 7 years now. And of course, I have to send another big THANK YOU to my boyfriend, for his lovely support and his incredible patience while filming. Loads of love for the two of you. Anddd that's all for today. Stay tunned for more!
